Hello, I’m Olivia — an Australian editorial-style photographer and writer based in Hobart, Tasmania. I work locally in Hobart as well as across Australia, creating thoughtful, authentic imagery for businesses, brands, editorial projects and individuals.

My journey began at 11, when I was given my first Nikon film camera and developed a lifelong love of visual storytelling. The discipline of shooting film — attention to detail, focus and patience — continues to influence the way I approach photography today.

I try not to overcomplicate things. I like to structure a shoot just enough to give it direction, while leaving room for the unexpected and something magic.

I’m drawn to individual stories, creative projects and businesses, as well as larger editorial-style assignments spanning adventure, travel, architecture, science, arts, events, industry and documentary photography in Hobart and beyond.Alongside photography, I’ve worked across publishing and film. I was creative director of an outdoor magazine and wrote and published The Last Great Southern Adventure, a book documenting a unique helicopter conservation effort in Fiordland, New Zealand. These projects lead to spending over 200 hours shooting helicopter aerial photography across remote landscapes in Australia and New Zealand.Additionally I’ve produced and shot Tasmanian and New Zealand short adventure films and worked with brands like Canadian outdoor company Arc’teryx, where I became their first Australian female brand ambassador, speaker and content creator.
